Haven Season 2 Ends With A Few Answers

“SINS OF THE FATHERS” Airs Friday, September 30 at 10:00 PM on Syfy

The dead return to the world of the living in order to seek revenge and complete unfinished business, and the return of the otherworldly visitors forces Audrey, Nathan and Duke to confront their destinies in Haven.

I’m actually rather impressed at how much the creators of Haven have answered in just two short years. This season alone has set many balls in motion and, while there are still answers to be had, there is much revealed about the mythology of the show and you can see the pieces falling into place. Some dearly departed souls return to the mysterious town and bring with them some explanation of what has gone before and may yet happen again. We have a clear understanding of the role the Crocker and the Wuornos families have played in the lives of the Troubled. We also get more insight into what Audrey Parker/Lucy Ripley/Mysterious RedHead has meant to Haven via Vince and Dave. Speaking of the two oddball reporters, there is definitely much more than meets the eye when it comes to those two and we get a further glimpse of that this week. What I’ve particularly enjoyed about this show is its ability to keep the basic “monster-of-the-week” conceit, yet slowly evolve and progress the overall story and character development. Although, after this revelatory episode and the final cliffhanger, I see season three presented a fairly different show. At press time, Syfy has yet to renew this series, but I am really hoping they do so very soon. This may just be the most smartly written show on television and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

FIVE TEASES FOR THE HAVEN SEASON FINALE:

*Three dead fathers attempt to guide their sons…

*Duke may have found the tattooed man…

*Someone gives Audrey a ring…

*Beware visitors bearing tasers…

*Pay close attention, someone in Haven wants to resurrect someone else…

Haven will return in December with a special holiday themed episode
