Star Trek: The Writers Speak

By Bob Alpi

Published September 1, 2008

The writers of the new “Star Trek” film, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, recently appeared on the the Fox Movie Channel’s ‘After Film School.’ While actually there to talk about ‘Fringe‘ the pair expounded upon the responsibilities and challenges they faced working within the constraints of the established dogma.

You can view this three minute clip of what they had to say by clicking this link.

While enduring the long wait until May, watch PCZ for more developments.

“Star Trek” is due in theaters May 8th, 2009

Note: When initially reporting on this story, this writer found sources that claimed the the writing duo had revealed plot details during this appearance. I have since found these sources were incorrect- an epiphany that occurred right around the time Mr. Orci personally told me I was wrong. At PCZ we strive to provide only the most interesting and accurate information, but when we are wrong we will admit it. This story has officially been retracted. I would like to both apologize to Roberto Orci and thank him for setting me straight.

Alex Kurtzman and I revealed NOTHING about the plot. This story is in error.
