U2′s ‘No Line On The Horizon’ Due In Multiple Formats

Over two years in the making, U2 will release their new album, No Line On The Horizon, in early 2009. On sale March 2nd internationally and the 3rd in North America, the follow up to 2004′s How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb will be available in five different formats, listed below. The band once again works with producers Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite. Although there is no track listing as yet, those that have heard some of the tracks bescribe some as returning to their The Unforgettable Fire days while others are said to be more “out there” and experimental. A new U2 album is always highly anticipated, this one possibly more so as 2004-2009 will represent the longest gap to date between U2 studio albums. We’ll pass along more info as we get it, but for now here’s how you can pre-order it (click on your choice to do so):

  • No Line On The Horizon – Standard CD
  • No Line On The Horizon – Vinyl (2 discs)
  • No Line On The Horizon – Limited Edition Digi-Pack: CD in a cardboard folded sleeve, 36-page booklet, fold-out poster, film by Anton Corbijn featuring the music of U2 as a download.
  • No Line On The Horizon – Limited Edition Magazine: CD in 60-page soft cover magazine-style book, film by Anton Corbijn featuring the music of U2 as a download.
