Somehow, I’ve completely missed this…until now. This Fall sees the release of the feature film adaptation of 9. From the mind of Shane Acker, 9 was originally an award winning and Academy Award Nominated short film. The story tells the tale of a stitched together burlap rag doll fighting to free his peoples’ souls in a post-apocalyptic parallel world bereft of human beings. The short garnered the attention of Timur Bekmambetov and Tim Burton, who are producing Acker’s feature film remake. Featuring the voice talents of Elijah Wood, Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, John C. Reilly, Crispin Glover and Jennifer Connelly, 9 gets released on 9-9-09. The trailer is outstanding and will make you mark this on your “must see” films of 2009 list. Enjoy!
