Warner Bros. And Fox Settle, ‘Watchmen’ Maintains March 6th Release Date

According to the Holly wood Reporter, Warner Bros. and Fox have come to terms over the distribution rights to Watchmen. No details were released, as expected, but word is that Fox will get a sizable chunk of the box office grosses. I’m of the opinion that all the hoopla surrounding this legal tussle will help ensure those grosses are somewhere in the very high six figure arena, so it seems like a win-win all around. I’m impressed that the two titans of filmmaking actually settled this on their own. So, March 6th can go back to being an unofficial work holiday. Start rehearsing your “I’m sick, can’t make it in today” phone call now.

Well speaking selfishly I hope the split rights doesn’t screw up the eventual DVD release which has been known to happen.
