Summit Entertainment has announced that the third Twilight film, Eclipse is set for release on June 30, 2010. That means there will be only a seven month wait after the second film, New Moon, premieres on November 20 of this year. There are four novels in the Stephanie Meyer penned series on which the films are based and I’m guessing it won’t be long before we hear about an adaptation for Breaking Dawn being scripted, if work hasn’t already started on it. Meyer also no plans, so far, to continue the hugely popular book series, so, should the films continue to rake in heaps of cash, would it be conceivable that Summit would continue the series past film four? Would Twilight fans be open for that? Sound off in the comments below!

Um…no. Even going on to adapt the fourth book is a book too many, I say. Please, kill it and put us all out of our misery.
