SG.U(seless) had the disadvantage of introducing a large and motley crew in a dark and confused setting, so it was difficult to register many of the new characters.
The few I registered were Nicholas Hush because I already knew the actor and that he was in the show. Then there was the pudgy kid, Eli Alex Rogan-Wallis, who, to be fair, isn't as bad as Wesley Crusher, the waste-of-space senator
and his drippy daughter, Chloe, whose name I only remember because it's our daughter-in-law's name. Then there was the tarty blonde bint whose name escapes me, a colonel and a lieutenant, also nameless in my mind, but no one who had any obvious leadership skills.
Apparently, there was a sex scene that was cut for the benefit of the Brits. Why? We're not the ones who get our knickers in a bunch over a bit of nudity. Not that there was any 'eye candy' anyway.

And would someone PLEASE give the 'hand-held' camera man a steadicam and SHOW HIM HOW TO USE IT!!!

To sum up in one word: BORING.

It was BOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIINNGGGG!!!

Oh, Gawd, was it boring. And I didn't care about any of the characters, either. I didn't like them, the dialogue, the acting.... In my opinion, save for the sex scene at the beginning, it was like every other Stargate—except that the humor and charm were completely lacking. That, in my opinion, is what has always saved Stargate in the past. In general, though I am a fan, I acknowledge that the Stargate shows can be tedious and dull. But as I say, they have the quirkiness, humor and fun to make them enjoyable all the same. But this incarnation? It's just plain tedious and dull. It has absolutely no saving graces.
