Over six years ago James Cawley began financing and producing his own series of new episodes based on the original 1960’s Star Trek series. In many ways Cawley’s series has embodied the heart of Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek and, for many people, has become the de facto Trek series above and beyond the studio produced spin-off shows. Now, Cawley’s Cawley Entertainment Company, along with Retro Film Studios, is readying a new take on another classic space adventure series, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Starring Bobby Quinn Rice, this retro look at Buck Rogers will hit the Internet starting in late 2010 and judging from the short trailer below the groups responsible have really committed to giving us a quality series. I can’t wait to see more footage from this series and will eagerly be anticipating being able to download the premiere episode.
