According to the LA Times, Warner Bros. has officially announced that the final Harry Potter book will be split into two films. Directed by franchise veteran David Yates, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” will be released in November 2010 followed by “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II” in May 2011.

IMO, a very good move on the part of the filmmakers. Too much stuff to pack into one film. I’m assuming (hoping) that they are filming it all at once. That would make the most sense!!
