The BBC has released the first look at Christopher Eccleston as John Lennon from the forthcoming biopic Lennon Naked. Airing this spring on BBC Four, Lennon Naked spotlights John Lennon’s transition from Beatle to enduring and enigmatic icon. From the moment this was announced I thought that Eccleston was an inspired choice to portray the legendary musician and the image below only heightens that. No further details at this point, but Pop Culture Zoo will bring you further information as we get it so stay tuned!

      Hear hear. If I'm not mistaken, BBC releases tentative schedule ca. a month in advance, so probably that and immediately before will be the main info points. Given worldwide interest, I wonder if they'll offer some materials too, like w/ Tennant's 'Hamlet'?
    • I couldn't agree with you more. As a longtime John Lennon fan, and having enjoyed Eccleston's acting, I have been looking forward to this new production. But, yeah, lack of details about it have been very frustrating. I mainly posted the picture just to have something to post about it!
