One of this summer’s hottest blockbusters is perhaps the most hotly anticipated home video release of the year, and now there is a date to look forward to. IGN is reporting that they have confirmed Iron Man will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 30th.

While available for pre-order on Amazon, they do not have this date posted as of yet. They do list both a single disc and a special edition with the current prices listed as:

Iron Man (Two-Disc Special Collectors’ Edition DVD): $22.99

Iron Man (Special Collector’s Edition Blu-ray): $27.95

Iron Man (Single-Disc Edition DVD): $16.99

To promote this release, Marvel Studios is said to be planning to handout Iron Man thumb drives at San Diego Comic Con later this week, each loaded with a DVD preview. The PCZ SDCC team will be on the look out for these drives on the convention floor (for Pop Culture Zoo’s live coverage click here). Stay tuned for further developments.

Awesome, cant wait till the dvd comes out so I can watch it again.

No blueray for me, no money to spend on marginally better visual qualities that I cant see the difference anyways.
